What does Hebrews 3:5 mean?
Moses built his entire life around faithfulness to God's calling, serving with integrity even in the hardest seasons of leading a wandering people through the wilderness. The writer of Hebrews is saying that Moses' faithful work wasn't just important for his own time, but it pointed forward to something greater that would come later, namely Jesus. Think of Moses as laying groundwork and setting a pattern that would help people recognize and understand God's fuller plan when it arrived.
