What does Hebrews 2:10 mean?
God's design for bringing us into relationship with him involved his Son experiencing real suffering and struggle, not floating above it all. The passage speaks to something counterintuitive: Jesus had to become fully human and walk through difficulty to become the kind of Savior we actually need. He couldn't rescue us from pain while remaining untouched by it himself. When we face our own hard seasons, this means we have a Savior who genuinely understands what it costs to endure, who has walked the difficult path ahead of us rather than simply commanding us to walk it alone.
