Hebrews 13:15
“Through him, then, let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which proclaim allegiance to his name.”
What does Hebrews 13:15 mean?
Praising God isn't something we need to wait for the perfect moment to do, and it doesn't require perfect circumstances. The writer is saying that when we speak words of gratitude, honor, and trust in God, we're making an offering just as real as anything brought to an ancient altar. Our words of loyalty and thankfulness become a gift we can give freely, moment by moment, even in the middle of difficult days. The beauty here is that this praise comes "through him," meaning through Jesus, so we don't have to clean ourselves up or earn the right to approach God first. What matters is the simple, ongoing act of letting our voices acknowledge who God is and what he means to us.
