What does Hebrews 11:23 mean?
When Moses was born, Egypt's Pharaoh had ordered all Hebrew baby boys killed out of fear that the growing population might threaten his power. Moses' parents made a conscious choice to hide their newborn son for three months, risking severe punishment if caught, because they believed God would protect him. Their action wasn't reckless bravery but trust: they saw something special in their child and believed God's purposes mattered more than the king's threats. This passage reminds us that faith often looks like ordinary people making brave choices in impossible circumstances. Moses' parents couldn't see the future or know that their son would lead a nation to freedom, yet they acted anyway.
