What does Hebrews 10:5 mean?

When Jesus came to earth, he understood his mission differently than the old temple system suggested. God had never really wanted endless animal sacrifices and religious rituals, but rather a willing human life—his own—offered in obedience. This verse shows Jesus recognizing that his physical presence and his choice to surrender himself was what would finally accomplish what all those centuries of offerings were pointing toward. It's deeply comforting because it means God's deepest desire was never about performing the right religious actions, but about genuine relationship and sacrifice rooted in love.
