What does Hebrews 10:19 mean?
You have permission—real, solid permission—to approach God directly because of what Jesus did for you. In the Jewish temple system, only the high priest could enter the innermost holy room, and only once a year. But this letter is telling early Christians that Jesus' death removed that barrier completely, so you don't need a priest or special ritual to come before God with your needs and prayers. The writer calls this boldness not arrogance, but the confident freedom that comes from knowing you're welcome in God's presence, flaws and all.
