What does Hebrews 10:12 mean?
Jesus offered himself as a single, complete sacrifice for all sin, and then took his seat at God's right hand, which was a position of honor, rest, and authority. Unlike the Jewish priests who stood constantly at their work because sacrifices never fully resolved the sin problem, Jesus sat down because his work was finished and perfect. That posture of sitting communicates completion, confidence, and vindication, all at once. The writer is reassuring believers that we don't need to keep searching for another way to be right with God, because what Jesus did covers everything.
