What does Haggai 1:12 mean?
After the Jewish people returned from exile in Babylon, they'd grown comfortable and distracted, neglecting to rebuild God's temple. When the prophet Haggai challenged them, something remarkable happened: the leaders and all the people actually listened and got to work. Their obedience wasn't grudging or partial, but came from genuine reverence for God and respect for His messenger. This moment shows what becomes possible when we stop making excuses and align ourselves with what we know is right, even when it requires effort or sacrifice.
