What does Genesis 42:37 mean?
Reuben is desperate to convince his father Jacob to let Benjamin, the youngest brother, travel to Egypt with them during a famine. When Jacob refuses, fearing he'll lose Benjamin as he believes he lost Joseph years ago, Reuben makes an extreme offer: he'll forfeit his own two sons if he fails to return Benjamin safely.
