Genesis 40:4

What does Genesis 40:4 mean?
Joseph was given responsibility for two fellow prisoners, Pharaoh's butler and baker, while they awaited their fate. Even in confinement, he didn't sit idle or grow bitter, but instead faithfully served those around him. This small act of trustworthiness in a dark place would eventually become the thread that led to his freedom and influence, showing how God often works through our faithfulness in whatever circumstances we find ourselves in, no matter how discouraging those circumstances may feel.
