What does Genesis 4:25 mean?
After losing Abel to Cain's violence, Eve experiences the profound grief of a mother who has lost one son to murder and another to exile. When Seth is born, she names him deliberately, recognizing this child as God's grace in her devastation. Her words show both her pain (she hasn't forgotten what happened) and her faith that God hasn't abandoned her family through this tragedy.
