What does Genesis 39:21 mean?
Even in prison, falsely accused and far from home, Joseph wasn't abandoned. God's presence with him was real and active, working through the ordinary channels of human relationship—the prison keeper began to notice Joseph's trustworthiness and character, and treated him well because of it. This speaks to something deeply comforting: that God's favor isn't about our circumstances changing immediately, but about his sustained nearness even when everything feels wrong. Sometimes the kindness we experience comes through another person's eyes opening to who we really are.
