What does Genesis 3:20 mean?

Adam names his wife Eve, which comes from a Hebrew word meaning "life" or "living." Even though they've just been expelled from the garden and face a future of hardship and mortality, Adam looks forward with hope, recognizing that through her, human life will continue and flourish. It's a beautiful moment of faith in the midst of loss, suggesting that despite their failure and the consequences they'll face, God's promise of life and future generations still stands. The name itself becomes a declaration that even in a broken world, there is still reason to hope.
