What does Genesis 28:17 mean?
Jacob wakes from a dream where he saw angels ascending and descending a ladder between earth and heaven, and God stood above it promising to bless him and his descendants. His fear here isn't terror but awe, the kind of overwhelming reverence that comes when someone suddenly realizes they're in the presence of something far greater than themselves.
