Galatians 5:7
“You were running well! Who interfered with you that you should not obey the truth?”
What does Galatians 5:7 mean?
Paul is addressing people who started out following Jesus with real enthusiasm and momentum, but somewhere along the way they got pulled off track. He's asking, in genuine bewilderment, who convinced them to abandon the freedom and truth they'd embraced. The metaphor of "running well" captures that sense of movement, purpose, and progress that the Galatian believers had experienced. What makes this question so poignant is that Paul isn't angry here, just concerned and a bit puzzled about how they lost their footing so quickly.
