What does Galatians 3:6 mean?
Abraham's faith in God's promise became the foundation for his right relationship with God, not because he perfectly followed rules, but because he trusted God's word when everything in his circumstances seemed impossible. Paul uses Abraham's example here to remind the Galatians (and us) that God has always worked through faith rather than through law-keeping, so their spiritual identity doesn't depend on following Jewish regulations. When we trust God the way Abraham did, that same kind of faith counts as righteousness in God's eyes. It's a deeply comforting idea: what matters most to God is whether we believe him, not whether we have everything figured out or have earned our way into his favor.
