What does Ezra 8:18 mean?

Ezra is recounting how God provided exactly the right people for the journey back to Jerusalem after exile. When the group needed someone wise and skilled to help lead them, God's favor brought forward Sherebiah and his family, people with the knowledge and character required for such a significant responsibility. This reflects a deep trust that when we're trying to do something important, God doesn't just leave us scrambling. He provides the right helpers, the right wisdom, the right support. Whether you're facing a major transition or just need the right person to come alongside you, this reminds us that God's hand of blessing often shows up through other people being placed in our path at just the right moment.
