What does Ezra 2:29 mean?
This short verse is part of a census list documenting the Jewish exiles who returned from Babylon to Jerusalem. The people listed are descendants of those who had been taken captive, now coming home to rebuild their community and temple. Nebo was a town in Moab, east of the Jordan River, and this entry tells us that fifty-two families with roots there made the journey back.
