Ezekiel 7:19
“They will cast their silver in the streets, and their gold will be as an unclean thing. Their silver and their gold won’t be able to deliver them in the day of Yahweh’s wrath. They won’t satisfy their souls or fill their bellies; because it has been the stumbling block of their iniquity.”
What does Ezekiel 7:19 mean?
When disaster strikes, all the wealth people have trusted in becomes worthless. Silver and gold, which once felt like security and power, can't buy safety or even basic food when judgment comes. Ezekiel is describing a moment when people realize their money was never actually protecting them, and the things they sacrificed so much to accumulate now sit useless in the streets.
