Ezekiel 39:8
“Behold, it comes, and it will be done,” says the Lord Yahweh. “This is the day about which I have spoken.”
What does Ezekiel 39:8 mean?
God is declaring that His promised judgment is certain and imminent, not something distant or uncertain. He's speaking here about the final defeat of Gog, an enemy force that had threatened God's people, and He's making clear that what He announced beforehand will absolutely come to pass. There's both finality and reassurance in these words: finality for those opposing God's purposes, and reassurance for believers that the Lord keeps His word completely. When life feels chaotic or when evil seems to be winning, this reminds us that God has already spoken the outcome, and His promises are as solid as His character.
