What does Ezekiel 33:19 mean?

When someone has been living in a way that damages themselves and others, but genuinely turns around and starts making choices that are honest and good, that change itself becomes the path to real life. God isn't saying the person instantly erases their past or becomes perfect, but rather that the act of turning toward what's right opens the door to genuine living, healing, and restored relationship with God. This comes right in the middle of Ezekiel's message that God doesn't want anyone to stay trapped in destructive patterns, no matter how far they've gone. It's an invitation wrapped in a promise: the moment you turn, you start moving toward life.
