Ezekiel 32:15

“When I make the land of Egypt desolate and waste, a land destitute of that of which it was full, when I strike all those who dwell therein, then they will know that I am Yahweh.

What does Ezekiel 32:15 mean?

God is describing a coming judgment on Egypt, where the land itself will become empty and barren, stripped of everything that once made it rich and productive. When this devastation happens and touches everyone living there, people will finally understand who God truly is and recognize His power. The promise underneath the warning is that sometimes it takes a complete upheaval of everything we rely on for us to truly encounter God and acknowledge His authority. For anyone facing their own kind of "desolation," this speaks to how God sometimes uses loss and breaking to reveal Himself in ways comfort never could.
