Ezekiel 3:21
βNevertheless if you warn the righteous man, that the righteous not sin, and he does not sin, he will surely live, because he took warning; and you have delivered your soul.ββ
What does Ezekiel 3:21 mean?
When you help someone who's genuinely trying to do right stay on track, you're doing something real and important. The prophet Ezekiel is being told that his job isn't to force anyone's choice, but simply to speak truth to those willing to listen, and real consequences follow. If someone heeds that warning and avoids harm because of it, both they and the person who warned them experience the relief and freedom that comes from making good choices. There's something deeply reassuring here: you're not responsible for forcing anyone's righteousness or controlling outcomes, but you are responsible for being honest when you see danger ahead.
