““Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he will die. Because you have not given him warning, he will die in his sin, and his righteous deeds which he has done will not be remembered; but I will require his blood at your hand.”
What does Ezekiel 3:20 mean?
This passage speaks to the responsibility we carry when we see someone we know to be faithful beginning to drift toward wrong choices. The warning isn't that God punishes people unfairly, but rather that silence in the face of someone's moral decline makes us complicit in the harm that follows.
