What does Ezekiel 29:7 mean?
God is describing Egypt as a broken staff that cannot be trusted, even by those who desperately need support. When nations relied on Egypt (represented by Pharaoh) for military help or political alliance, Egypt crumbled under pressure instead of providing strength. The image is visceral: rather than being a steadying hand to lean on, Egypt caused injury and weakness to its allies.
