What does Ezekiel 18:22 mean?
When we turn from our wrongs and move toward what's right, God doesn't keep a running tally of our past failures. This promise comes in a passage where Ezekiel challenges the false belief that children are punished for their parents' sins, insisting instead that each person's choices matter and can change their destiny. The point isn't that God forgets we ever sinned, but that He doesn't hold our past against us when we genuinely turn around.
