What does Ezekiel 16:47 mean?
Jerusalem had looked at the wickedness around her and thought she was better, but God saw something different: she had become even more corrupt, just in her own way. The verse captures how easy it is to judge others for their failures while missing our own, sometimes even exceeding theirs in severity. God isn't saying Jerusalem and her neighbors were equally bad in identical ways, but that self-righteousness itself became another form of unfaithfulness.
