What does Ezekiel 16:3 mean?
God is speaking to Jerusalem through the prophet Ezekiel, using harsh language to remind the people of their humble and uncertain beginnings. Rather than claiming spiritual purity or special status from the start, Ezekiel traces their roots back to the Canaanite peoples—groups the Israelites had actually displaced and often struggled against. It's a humbling wake-up call: you are not naturally superior, you were not always mine, and you didn't earn your place through your own righteousness.
