Ezekiel 12:15
““‘They will know that I am Yahweh when I disperse them among the nations, and scatter them through the countries.”
What does Ezekiel 12:15 mean?
God is speaking through the prophet Ezekiel to the people of Judah who are about to be taken into exile. In the midst of their coming suffering, God makes a promise: even in their scattering across foreign lands, they will come to understand who he truly is. The punishment itself becomes a way for them to encounter God's reality, not just accept stories about him intellectually. Sometimes our hardest seasons teach us things about God's faithfulness and presence that comfort and ease never could.
