What does Ezekiel 11:10 mean?

God is speaking here to the leaders and people of Jerusalem who had turned away from him and refused to listen to his prophets. He's describing real consequences: military defeat, judgment at the borders of their own land, and a reckoning they cannot escape. The hard truth embedded in this message is that sometimes God allows difficult circumstances to break through our stubborn resistance, so we finally recognize his reality and authority in our lives. For anyone reading this in a painful season, this verse acknowledges that suffering can be a teacher. God isn't distant or indifferent to what's happening; he's present and working to bring us back to himself. That recognition, even through hardship, is where genuine faith can begin.
