“You shall put the ark of the testimony in it, and you shall screen the ark with the veil.”
What does Exodus 40:3 mean?
The final instructions for building the tabernacle called for placing the ark (the chest containing the Ten Commandments) inside the innermost holy space, then hanging a veil in front of it. This veil separated the most sacred part of the temple from where the priests worked, making it physically clear that some things were set apart as especially holy and not meant for casual approach.
