Exodus 36:11
“He made loops of blue on the edge of the one curtain from the edge in the coupling. Likewise he made in the edge of the curtain that was outermost in the second coupling.”
What does Exodus 36:11 mean?
The Israelites were building the tabernacle, a portable tent-sanctuary, and this verse describes one of those careful construction details: blue loops sewn along the edges of fabric curtains. These loops served a practical purpose, allowing the curtains to be fastened together with clasps to form the walls of the sacred space. The repetition in the verse (mentioning the loops made on both the first and outermost curtain) emphasizes that this work was done consistently and thoroughly on both sides.
