What does Exodus 34:2 mean?

God is calling Moses to meet him at sunrise on Mount Sinai's peak, asking him to come prepared and alone. This happens after Moses had shattered the stone tablets in anger over the people's idolatry, and God is about to renew his covenant with Israel. The "readiness" God asks for isn't about gathering supplies, but about Moses' heart being open and attentive for this sacred encounter. There's something beautiful in how God specifies the early morning and the mountaintop, as if the setting itself helps us understand the seriousness and intimacy of meeting with him.
