Exodus 30:36

and you shall beat some of it very small, and put some of it before the testimony in the Tent of Meeting, where I will meet with you. It shall be to you most holy.

What does Exodus 30:36 mean?

God is describing how to prepare a sacred incense for the Tent of Meeting, where his presence dwells. The finely ground incense was to be placed right where God promised to meet with his people, making it both a physical reminder of worship and an invitation into his presence. What's beautiful here is that "most holy" doesn't mean untouchable or distant, but rather set apart for connection with God. Just as the incense's fragrance would rise and fill the sacred space, this verse speaks to how our worship and prayers rise before him. When life feels chaotic or you're searching for God's presence, you can remember that he has always made a way to meet us, and he calls us to approach him with reverence and intention.
