Exodus 26:32
βYou shall hang it on four pillars of acacia overlaid with gold; their hooks shall be of gold, on four sockets of silver.β
What does Exodus 26:32 mean?
This verse describes the inner curtain (called the veil) that separated the Holy Place from the Holy of Holies in the tabernacle, God's portable temple in the wilderness. The detailed specifications, gold and silver materials, and careful construction all point to something precious and set apart, not something ordinary or rushed. For people in hard seasons, this can be meaningful because it shows that God cared about the details of how his people approached him, and that access to his presence was treated as sacred and valuable. The beauty and craftsmanship weren't wasteful decoration, but a way of honoring what lay beyond the veil. Even now, we can trust that God takes our worship and prayers seriously, not casually.
