What does Exodus 2:16 mean?
These seven daughters were tending their father's sheep in the desert when they came to draw water from a well, a routine task that would have been physically demanding in that harsh landscape. This small scene sets up one of Scripture's most significant meetings: Moses, who was fleeing for his life after killing an Egyptian, would soon encounter these women and help them water their flock. What begins as an ordinary day of work becomes the turning point where Moses finds refuge and, eventually, his wife. Sometimes our most important moments come not from grand plans but from simply doing the next faithful thing, showing up to do the work in front of us.
