What does Exodus 19:8 mean?
The Israelites have just heard God's invitation through Moses: they can become His treasured possession if they keep His covenant. Their response here is wholehearted and immediate, "All that Yahweh has spoken we will do." There's something beautiful and honest about this moment, before the weight of those words fully settles on them, before the law is given and the struggle to obey begins.
