What does Exodus 14:24 mean?
In the darkest hours before dawn, God looked down on Pharaoh's pursuing soldiers and threw their ranks into chaos and panic. The pillar of fire and cloud that had guided and protected the Israelites became the vantage point from which God saw everything the Egyptians were doing.
