What does Exodus 14:18 mean?

God is saying that when He rescues the Israelites by defeating Pharaoh's army at the Red Sea, everyone will understand His power and authority. The "honor" He speaks of isn't about pride but about His reputation being revealed through His mighty acts, so that both the freed people and their enemies recognize who He truly is. This moment of deliverance becomes the evidence that God keeps His promises and has ultimate control over earthly powers, no matter how intimidating they seem. It's a reminder that God's actions in our lives can become witnesses to His character, even in situations where the odds feel completely against us.
