What does Exodus 10:25 mean?
Moses refuses to leave Egypt with empty hands, insisting that Pharaoh must provide animals for worship. This demand comes at the climax of the plagues, when Pharaoh finally agrees to let the Israelites go, but only the people, not their livestock. Moses understands that true freedom means being able to worship God fully, and you can't do that without the physical means to do it. There's something profound here about not settling for half-freedom. Moses isn't being stubborn for stubbornness' sake, he's recognizing that release from slavery means nothing if people are stripped of their ability to practice their faith. It's a reminder that genuine liberation includes the freedom to honor what matters most to you, not just the absence of chains.
