Esther 5:13

Yet all this avails me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king’s gate.”

What does Esther 5:13 mean?

Haman has everything a person could want, yet he's consumed by bitterness over one man who won't bow to him. His words reveal how easily pride can poison success, turning abundance into emptiness. When we're fixated on who hasn't given us the respect or recognition we feel we deserve, no amount of wealth, power, or achievement can satisfy us. The verse shows us that unforgiveness and resentment are heavy burdens we carry ourselves, and they can hollow out even our greatest accomplishments.
