Ephesians 6:9
“You masters, do the same things to them, and give up threatening, knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no partiality with him.”
What does Ephesians 6:9 mean?
Paul shifts his focus here from enslaved people to those in positions of power, calling them to the same standard of mutual respect. He's saying that authority figures should treat those under them fairly and without intimidation, recognizing that everyone answers to Christ ultimately. The heart of it is this: when you have power over someone, how you use that power matters spiritually, not just practically. No amount of earthly status shields you from God's judgment, and he doesn't play favorites based on social rank or wealth.
