Ephesians 6:13
“Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand.”
What does Ephesians 6:13 mean?
Paul is telling us that spiritual struggle is real, and we need to prepare for it intentionally. By putting on God's armor (which he describes in the verses before this one: truth, righteousness, faith, salvation, God's word, and prayer), we're equipping ourselves to face the hardships and temptations that come our way. The phrase "having done all, to stand" suggests that sometimes victory isn't about winning big or seeing immediate results, but simply staying firm in your faith when pressure comes. This is especially comforting if you're in a season where you feel worn down, because Paul acknowledges that difficult times will come, yet promises that with God's protection we can endure them.
