Ephesians 4:25
“Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another.”
What does Ephesians 4:25 mean?
When we lie to each other, we fracture the bond that holds us together. Paul reminds us here that telling the truth isn't just about being honest in an abstract sense, it's about honoring the real connection we have with one another as part of the same body of Christ. Dishonesty creates distance and breaks trust, while truthfulness says "I respect you enough to be real with you."
