Ephesians 4:24
“and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.”
What does Ephesians 4:24 mean?
When you become a follower of Jesus, Paul says you're being remade from the inside out—given a completely new identity that reflects God's character. This "new self" isn't something you have to construct on your own; it's already been created for you, designed to mirror God's righteousness (right living) and genuine holiness. The image of "putting on" suggests you're clothing yourself with this new identity, choosing daily to live out who you've already become through Christ rather than reverting to old patterns of thinking and behavior. It's an invitation to stop pretending to be someone you're not and instead step into the authentic person God is reshaping you to be.
