Ephesians 4:12
“for the perfecting of the saints, to the work of serving, to the building up of the body of Christ;”
What does Ephesians 4:12 mean?
God gave leaders to the church not to do all the work themselves, but to equip everyday believers to serve and grow spiritually mature. When a pastor, teacher, or mentor helps you understand your gifts and calling, they're actually preparing you for the real work—which is serving others and strengthening your church community. This is about releasing potential that's already in you, not making you dependent on a few people at the top. Each person has something to contribute to making Christ's body (the church) stronger and more whole.
