What does Ephesians 2:8 mean?

Salvation isn't something you earn or deserve, and it isn't something you accomplish through your own effort. God offers it freely as a gift, and you receive it through faith, trusting in what Jesus has done rather than relying on your own goodness or achievement. This verse reminds us that when life feels impossibly broken or when you're aware of your own failures, you don't have to fix yourself first or prove yourself worthy, because grace means God's undeserved kindness reaches you anyway. The gift is already offered; faith is simply saying yes to it.
