What does Ecclesiastes 2:25 mean?
The Teacher in Ecclesiastes is reflecting on his relentless pursuit of pleasure and accomplishment. He's asking a rhetorical question: if someone with his wealth, wisdom, and power couldn't find lasting satisfaction through indulgence and achievement, how could anyone else? It's not arrogance so much as honest bewilderment, the voice of someone who tried everything the world offered and found it all fundamentally empty.
