Deuteronomy 9:26
“I prayed to Yahweh, and said, “Lord Yahweh, don’t destroy your people and your inheritance, that you have redeemed through your greatness, that you have brought out of Egypt with a mighty hand.”
What does Deuteronomy 9:26 mean?
Moses is pleading with God not to destroy the Israelites after they've sinned by worshiping the golden calf, reminding God of their shared history and what God has already invested in them. He's essentially saying, "You paid too high a price for us, you brought us out of Egypt with such power and purpose—don't erase that now."
