Deuteronomy 1:18
“I commanded you at that time all the things which you should do.”
What does Deuteronomy 1:18 mean?
Moses is speaking to the next generation of Israelites, reminding them that he gave them God's complete instructions for how to live as God's people. He's not claiming he made up these commands himself, but that he faithfully delivered everything God told him to pass along. This is Moses taking responsibility for his role as a leader and teacher, making clear that the people have been given what they need to know and follow.
